You will own supplier strategy, cost leadership, product development support, and supply continuity across a global manufacturing network. You will also lead a team of sourcing associates and partner with Merchandising, Product Development, Engineering, and Quality to deliver innovative, compliant, cost-competitive products that support Everyday Low Prices and help our customers Save Money and Live Better.

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

About The Team

Walmart's success is built on delivering exceptional value through high-quality private brand products. Our Sourcing team identifies and scales supply sources that provide superior products, competitive costs, and dependable delivery. We are in a pivotal growth phase, building Walmart's most trusted and resilient sourcing network. We do this through clear strategy, simpler structures, and a high-trust culture where collaboration thrives and decisions move fast.

About The Role

This is a people-leadership role with end-to-end ownership of Walmart's Wireless & Photo sourcing category. You will build and govern a diversified global supplier base, lead strategic negotiations, and turn customer and merchant roadmaps into secure, cost-optimized execution. You will work directly with senior stakeholders in the U.S., Canada, and other international markets.

What You'll Do

1. Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Management

• Develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies for Wireless & Photo that grow sales and profit and support Everyday Low Prices.

• Design and manage a diversified, compliant, value-oriented supplier matrix across Asia and other regions, balancing cost, speed-to-market, quality, and risk.

• Build strategic relationships with key manufacturers and component suppliers to strengthen supply resilience, innovation, and cost competitiveness.

2. Cost Leadership & Negotiation

• Use should-cost and bill-of-materials analysis to set cost benchmarks and uncover savings.

• Lead RFQ and RFP processes and high-impact negotiations with strategic ODM/OEM partners to deliver cost-down targets and improve margins.

• Monitor global trade, tariff, currency, and commodity trends, and turn them into practical sourcing and risk-mitigation plans.

3. Execution, Quality & Product Flow

• Partner with Merchandising, Product Development, Design, and Quality teams to accelerate new product introduction from development through mass production.

• Oversee factory capacity, planning, and on-time, in-full delivery, including peak-season readiness. • Work with Quality teams to ensure supplier compliance with product certifications and Walmart standards.

4. Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of four sourcing associates.

• Set clear priorities, performance expectations, and development plans.

• Build a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

5. Digital Tools & AI Adoption

• Use AI, analytics, and digital tools to improve productivity, speed up decisions, and strengthen sourcing outcomes.

• Use data on cost variance, supplier performance, and market intelligence to shape business proposals for senior leaders.

• Drive process improvement and supply chain visibility to shorten development cycles and reduce total landed cost.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field. An MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or product management within consumer electronics, retail, OEM, ODM, or EMS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer electronics categories, ideally wireless accessories, charging, power, or imaging products.
  • Experience delivering products to high-volume markets such as the U.S., Canada, Latin America, or other international markets, with working knowledge of product compliance and trade and tariff dynamics.
  • Proven results managing large sourcing portfolios, with strong skills in cost analysis, negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Executive-level communication and influencing skills across engineering, merchandising, and supplier leadership.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing sourcing teams in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Fluent English; additional Asian language skills are a plus.
