Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Welding Engineer role based in Ba Ria–Vung Tau, Vietnam. The Welding Engineer will design, review, and optimize welding procedures and parameters for steel structures and mechanical components. Daily tasks include supervising welding operations on the production floor, supporting welding technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role involves performing welding inspections, coordinating non-destructive testing, reviewing material specifications, and collaborating with design and project teams to resolve technical issues. The Welding Engineer will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to technical documentation, and support training for welding personnel.
Qualifications

• Strong practical and theoretical skills in welding processes, including Arc Welding and Laser Welding.
• Experience in Welding Inspection and Quality Control for steel structures and mechanical components.
• Knowledge of Metallurgy, material properties, and weldability of structural steels and alloys.
• Familiarity with relevant welding and construction standards (e.g., AWS, ISO, EN) and safety regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a production and project-based environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
• Relevant professional certifications in welding or inspection are an advantage.
• Experience in large-scale industrial, construction, or steel structure projects is preferred.
