About the Role

We are seeking a Java Developer with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Java development. Successful candidates will join our international team and contribute to the development of our Akkuro Digital Banking platform (https://akkuro.com). This role involves close collaboration with team members in both Vietnam and the Netherlands, providing a dynamic and culturally diverse work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java backend applications with a focus on technical excellence and performance.
• Build resilient, secure integrations with external systems, including payment processors, core banking systems, and KYC/AML providers.
• Develop backend APIs and infrastructure to help expand web self-service portals to mobile applications.
• Implement security protocols, including OAuth2/OIDC authentication flows and secure API designs.
• Participate in code reviews and write automated tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a regulated financial environment.
• Collaborate effectively with distributed international teams across Europe and Asia.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with cross-border teams.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development with Jakarta EE (or Java EE).
• Hands-on experience integrating with third-party APIs and handling API fails gracefully.
• Good understanding of OAuth2/OIDC standards and RESTful API design.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, prefer MongoDB.
• Familiarity with application servers such as WildFly, JBoss, or Payara.
• Solid automated testing habits (JUnit, Mockito, or similar tools).
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries is a plus.
• Experience with Keycloak identity management or CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) is a plus.
