Middle Rust Engineer - Fluent English

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, low-latency backend services in Rust
• Work on systems such as market data ingestion, streaming pipelines, order and portfolio services, and pricing or analytics engines
• Write safe, well-tested, maintainable code with a strong focus on correctness and observability
• Collaborate with product, data and platform teams to ship features end to end
• Take part in code reviews, architecture discussions and on-call rotation for services you own
• Help improve engineering practices, tooling and performance across the team

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Solid hands-on experience with Rust in production, or strong systems experience (C++, Go, etc.) with demonstrated Rust work
• Good understanding of ownership, lifetimes, traits and async Rust (Tokio or similar)
• Experience building backend services and APIs (REST, gRPC or WebSocket)
• Familiarity with relational and/or time-series databases (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, etc.)
• Experience with messaging or streaming systems (Kafka, NATS, Redpanda or similar)
• Comfort with Linux, Docker, CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Clear communication and a collaborative mindset

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in fintech, trading, brokerage, payments or other regulated domains
• Knowledge of financial market concepts (equities, ETFs, order books, FIX protocol)
• Low-latency or performance tuning experience (profiling, lock-free structures, SIMD)
• Kubernetes, Terraform or infrastructure-as-code experience
• Open-source Rust contributions
