ROLE SUMMARY

Connexus is looking for a Design Engineer to join our semiconductor engineering team in Ho Chi Minh City. You will work on Foundation IP (Standard Cell Libraries, SRAM bitcells, and SRAM peripheral circuits), focusing on SPICE simulation, timing/power/leakage characterization, and Liberty model validation.

The role is open to engineers from one year of experience who have solid CMOS and digital logic fundamentals. You will be trained through CNX Academy and mentored by experienced semiconductor engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the development of Foundation IP, including Standard Cell Libraries (SCL), SRAM bitcells, and SRAM peripheral circuits for advanced semiconductor technologies.
• Perform SPICE simulations to verify functionality, timing, power, and leakage.
• Assist in timing, power, and leakage characterization across multiple PVT conditions.
• Analyze simulation results and assist in debugging circuit behavior.
• Support the generation and validation of Liberty (.lib) timing and power models for SCL and Memory IP.
• Develop and maintain basic automation scripts for simulation, characterization, data processing, and validation.
• Participate in design reviews, validation activities, and technical documentation for IP development.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Electrical Engineering; Telecommunications; Computer Engineering; Physics, IT, Mathematics & Computer Science, or related fields.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-yoe in semiconductor design, IC design, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of CMOS circuit design fundamentals and digital logic design.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiarity with SPICE simulation tools (HSPICE, Spectre, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Basic programming or scripting skills in Python, Perl, Tcl, Shell, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and take on technical challenges.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.

Preferred Experiences

• Academic projects, internships, or research related to CMOS circuits, SRAM design, or semiconductor technology.
• Familiarity with transistor-level circuit design and SPICE simulation.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor device characteristics and CMOS fabrication processes.
• Experience with programming or scripting for engineering tasks.
• Familiarity with standard cell libraries, memory IP, or EDA tools is a plus.
