Database Administrator (Remote)

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a DBA Production Support (L2/L3) for AMS project, with strong focus on Oracle Database (enterprise environments such as Exadata / CDB / PDB are highly preferred). This role is responsible for production stability, incident management, RCA, performance tuning, and backup/recovery/DR operations.

Working mode: Remotely

Working hours:

• 8 hours/day, working on a shift-based schedule.
• Provide production support during assigned shifts, with shift rotation based on business requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide L2/L3 production support for database incidents, requests, problems, and changes to ensure service stability and SLA compliance.
• Perform end-to-end triage across database, application, OS, network, and storage to quickly restore service and minimize impact.
• Operate and optimize Oracle databases (priority), including availability, performance tuning, monitoring, patching, backup/restore, recovery, and DR/failover activities.
• Produce and maintain operational documentation such as runbooks, RCA reports, and checklists, and drive continuous improvement to prevent recurring issues.
• Support additional database platforms when needed (SQL Server/DB2 preferred; MongoDB/Cosmos DB is a plus).

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of experience in DBA.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database; exposure to Exadata / CDB / PDB is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of incident handling, RCA, performance tuning, and backup/restore/recovery in production environments.
• Experience with OS knowledge: Linux, AIX, Windows.
• Experience with DB2 and/or NoSQL platforms (MongoDB / Azure Cosmos DB) is a plus.
• Good English communication.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (8h/day).
