We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team and contribute to the company's continued success.
I. Job Overview:
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the Company's overall accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of the accounting system, financial reporting, and tax activities. This role requires the ability to directly manage tax-related matters, liaise with tax authorities, and take ownership of tax inspections, audits, and finalization processes.
II. Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting Management
- Organize and manage the Company's overall accounting operations.
- Oversee the recording of revenue, expenses, receivables/payables, inventory, and cost of goods sold.
- Ensure accounting data is accurate, complete, and recorded within the correct period.
- Take ownership of financial statements, management reports, and periodic accounting reports.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Develop and improve accounting processes and internal control systems.
2. Tax Management
- Directly oversee and/or handle matters related to VAT, CIT, PIT, import duties, and other tax obligations arising from import activities, as well as other applicable taxes and fees related to business operations.
- Review tax declarations and filings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Control the use of invoices and documentation, and ensure the validity of accounting and tax records.
- Analyze and manage tax-related risks, and propose appropriate resolutions.
- Prepare and review documentation for tax finalization.
- Directly liaise and work with tax authorities on all related matters.
- Monitor updates to tax regulations, assess their impact, and advise the Board of Directors on tax risk management.
3. Financial & Business Operations Control
- Monitor cash flow, receivables/payables, and payment activities.
- Control inventory, cost of goods sold, and matters related to import and distribution operations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, and inventory data.
- Recommend solutions to improve cost and financial control effectiveness.
4. Team Management
- Manage and assign tasks within the accounting team.
- Review the quality and progress of the team's work.
- Train, coach, and develop the accounting team's capabilities.
- Ensure the team's compliance with accounting and tax regulations as well as internal procedures.
III. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in accounting.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager position or equivalent.
- Proven experience managing an accounting team.
- Hands-on experience in tax handling, including:
o. Tax declaration and finalization.
o. Reviewing and reconciling tax figures.
o. Liaising with tax authorities.
o. Tax inspections and audits.
o. Explaining and resolving tax-related issues.
- Candidates with direct tax handling experience in import/distribution companies are strongly preferred.
- Prior experience at Import & Distribution companies, Pharmaceutical/Healthcare, FMCG, or other industries involving import and distribution activities is an advantage.

Working Time: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
