Technical Project Manager

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with a strong technical background, focused on Backend development, to lead projects for our UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) product line. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle of backend systems supporting flight control, data processing, and connectivity for UAVs, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and effective coordination across technical teams.

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress of backend development projects for the UAV product (flight control systems, telemetry data processing, integration APIs, cloud/on-premise infrastructure).
• Work directly with Backend, Embedded, and DevOps engineers to break down technical requirements, estimate effort, and build development roadmaps.
• Manage backlog, sprint planning, and Agile/Scrum processes within the project team.
• Assess technical risks, propose solutions, and make architecture-level technical decisions when needed.
• Act as the key liaison between the engineering team, Product team, and stakeholders (customers, partners, leadership).
• Oversee code quality, review processes, testing, and release activities related to backend modules.
• Report project progress, risks, and budget status regularly to management.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of the team's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  

Experience & Education:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, including at least 2–3 years in a Technical PM / Project Lead role.
• Strong Backend technical foundation (hands-on coding or backend system design experience is a strong plus).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of backend system architecture: microservices, RESTful APIs, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with real-time data processing systems is a plus, especially in IoT/UAV/Robotics domains.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), or on-premise infrastructure.
• Experience or knowledge of UAV, embedded systems, or hardware-software integrated products is a strong advantage.

Project Management Skills:

• Proficient in Agile/Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Strong skills in planning, risk management, and project budget management.

Soft Skills:

• Good communication and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English (able to read technical documentation and communicate with international partners as needed).
• Leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure in a high-tech product environment.
