Senior Warehouse Solution Design Specialist

1. Warehouse Solution Design & Optimization

• Design warehouse layouts, storage solutions, and material flows for new sites, expansion projects, and improvements to existing operations.
• Analyze SKU profiles, inventory levels, order characteristics, and peak demand to define solution requirements.
• Calculate storage capacity, operational throughput requirements to support solution sizing.
• Develop end-to-end operational processes covering inbound, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, and outbound.
• Evaluate design alternatives to balance space utilization, productivity, service levels, cost, safety, and future scalability.

2. Automation & Technology Solutions

• Identify and assess opportunities for warehouse automation, including Good to Person (G2P), automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), robotics, and packing equipment.
• Translate operational needs into technical specifications, requests for proposals (RFPs), and measurable performance requirements.
• Review vendor proposals, layouts, equipment sizing, and simulation results to validate assumptions and solution feasibility.
• Collaborate with Operations, Operational Excellence, and Product teams to define system integration requirements and exception handling processes.
• Support automation trials, performance testing, and scale-up planning.

3. Data Analysis & Business Case Development

• Analyze operational data using Excel, SQL, and BI tools to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop capacity and productivity models to compare manual, semi-automated, and automated solutions.
• Prepare investment and operating cost estimates, including CAPEX, OPEX, and payback analysis.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess solution performance under changes in volume, SKU mix, and operational assumptions.
• Validate actual performance against design assumptions and recommend improvements.

4. Stakeholder Management & Project Execution

• Collaborate with Operations, Operational Excellence, IT, HSE, Procurement, and vendors to align solution design and implementation requirements.
• Prepare design documentation, solution comparisons, and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Coordinate design reviews and track technical clarifications, dependencies, and changes throughout the project.
• Support installation, commissioning, user acceptance testing, and go-live readiness against agreed performance criteria.
• Ensure proper handover of layouts, specifications, operating procedures, and training materials to Operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse solution design, logistics engineering, operational improvement, or warehouse automation. Experience in 3PL contract logistics, e-commerce, Retail/FMCG logistics, or warehouse system integration is preferred.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes, storage systems, material handling equipment, and layout design principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate operational data into practical design requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD experience with SQL, BI tools, or simulation software is a plus.
• Experience in capacity modeling, equipment sizing, and business case development is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse automation and WMS/WCS integration is an advantage.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal.
• Good communication, vendor coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented, structured thinking, and a strong ownership mindset.
