Main Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to business units, providing financial insights to drive strategic decisions.
- Support business planning, forecasting, and performance analysis to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Performance Management
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize business performance and profitability.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead the budgeting and financial projection processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on financial data and market trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with key departments (e.g., Distribution Channels, Operations, Insurance Service, Marketing) to align financial goals with business strategies.
- Act as a bridge between finance and other teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks impacting the business.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
Qualification and Experience Requirement
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields; CPA/ACCA/CFA is a plus.
- Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Proven ability to have a highly strategic focus, whilst dealing competently with operational matters
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent IT literacy including expertise in spreadsheet modelling
- Ability to liaise remotely with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility, tact and diplomacy
- Excellent stakeholder management and strategic influencing skills
- The ability to understand and break down complex technical problems, both translating them into laypersons terms as well as finding solutions that work
- Knowledge of VAS, IFRS, Life Insurance and Business Process Automation techniques
- 8+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in life insurance or financial services.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of Vietnam&aposs life insurance market and regulatory environment.
- Good analytical skills, and innovation mindset to identify improvement, develop business cases, and translate business needs into clear objectives.
- Strong planning, and organizing skills, detail-oriented, critical thinking, problem-solving, skills in multi-tasking, and prioritizing tasks.
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
- Proficient command of spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint), and knowledge of BI Tools, VBA and SQL is an advantage.
- Experience in using systems, e.g. Sun, SAP, is an asset
