Role: SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam (national scope)

Our client is a leading multinational manufacturer in the consumer goods sector, with operations across Asia and a strong footprint in Vietnam. The business is recognized globally for its scale, advanced technologies, and commitment to quality across batteries, electronics, and acoustics. In Vietnam, the company operates through a joint venture with one of the countrys largest and most established battery brands. With a solid foundation and a growing market presence, the business is now focused on expanding its domestic reach, strengthening relationships with distributors, and capturing new growth opportunities.

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead sales growth across Vietnam. This role carries national responsibility, driving expansion with wholesalers and distributors, while collaborating closely with senior leadership. The position is based in Hanoi at client&aposs factory with work travel across the country.

This is not an office-bound role as success requires presence in the market, building relationships, and being recognized personally by key partners and customers nationwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive national sales and deliver tangible growth for the Vietnam market.
  • Build direct relationships with all major wholesalers and distributors, ensuring strong recognition and trust.
  • Establish a credible sales pipeline within the first 36 months, with activity measured on visibility and reach.
  • Implement channel and assortment strategies to expand footprint and deliver sustainable growth.
  • Upsell additional products into existing accounts, capitalizing on a solid base business.
  • Track and report activity and pipeline progress using practical tools (Excel-based reporting).
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director, GM, and Chairman to align strategy and execution.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, competitor dynamics, and customer needs to anticipate opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years in FMCG, consumer goods, or retail sales; proven track record in wholesaler/distributor management.
  • Resilient and adaptable; comfortable working from a factory base.
  • Hands-on operator, not a coordinator; actively present in the market.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese and English.
