Develop and execute the sourcing strategy to identify, qualify, and onboard new FMCG suppliers that align with business objectives and assortment growth plans.
Lead supplier negotiations, including pricing, MOQs, contractual terms, and partnership agreements.
Conduct market and supplier landscape analysis to uncover high-potential brands and assess opportunity size.
Evaluate supplier SKU portfolios to prioritize sourcing efforts and inform commercial decisions.
Manage end-to-end supplier onboarding and international trade processes, including shipping, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure all products meet local import regulations, labeling requirements, certifications, and food safety standards.
Monitor supplier performance and compliance, identifying opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, operations, legal, and category management, to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business goals.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
Prior experience in retail acquisition, sourcing, procurement, or category management within the FMCG industry.
Strong understanding of import/export processes, customs regulations, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to analyze costs, margins, and commercial viability.
Experience leveraging market or data insights to inform sourcing and assortment strategies.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills able to manage multiple priorities independently.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
