Quality Assurance Specialist (Home)

JOB OBJECTIVES: This role manages quality activities with Suppliers & relevant stakeholders to meet Clients quality requirements & reports to the Home Division Manager

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage technical/ QA activities for Home department, leading the product standard compliance agenda.
• Review and implement all applicable quality standards, inspection & testing protocols required by Clients & the market regulations.
• Coordinate with designers & merchandising team for quality & product construction, KD solution.
• Monitor sampling process, review samples and train QC to ensure full compliance.
• Take charge of product quality review & train QC. Conduct Pre-Production Meeting (PPM).
• Take care of Quality Control activities (Inline inspection, final inspection) at the factories where Motives has production.
• Coordinate with merchandising team to evaluate & select appropriate factories to meet client design, quality, factory production system.
• Resolve technical issues between clients and selected factories promptly.
• Work closely with factories and merchandisers from Sketch, CAD, sample to Final Production Products.
• Participate in customers sourcing/ product development trips/meeting.
• Perform other assignments by Line Manager.

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor degree of Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Chemistry/Polymer Science, and related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of furniture & accessories, especially plastic & silicon products; QA & manufacturing.
• 3 years of experience in management in technical and product development or product engineering.
