QC Lead

Role Overview

Fundiin is building a multi-product consumer financial platform — and as the product scales across lending, operations, and new financial services, quality is non-negotiable.

As QC Lead, you will own the quality function end-to-end — leading a small QC team, defining how testing is practiced across the engineering organization, and scaling the automation capability that allows Fundiin to ship fast without breaking things. You will work closely with engineering and ITBA to embed quality into every stage of the development process.

This is a hands-on leadership role — you will be both a player and a coach, setting standards while staying close to the work.

What You Will Do

1. Quality Ownership

• Own the overall quality posture of Fundiin's products — lending platform, operations systems, and integrations with financial partners
• Define and maintain test strategy, test coverage standards, and release quality gates
• Ensure quality is embedded early in the development process — not just at the end

2. Automation

• Scale and mature the existing automation framework — improve coverage, stability, and integration with CI/CD pipeline
• Define automation strategy — scope, tooling priorities, and coverage targets
• Work with DevOps to strengthen automated tests in the pipeline — set requirements and quality bar
• Continuously improve automation coverage, reliability, and maintainability

3. Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small QC team
• Set priorities, allocate workload, and ensure delivery quality across squads
• Establish best practices for manual and automated testing
• Act as a player-coach — hands-on when needed, not just managing

4. AI-Native Workflow

• Define and drive AI adoption within the QC function — AI-assisted test case generation, anomaly detection, and workflow automation
• Contribute to Fundiin's AI-native development process — continuously improve how AI is used in testing

5. Process & Compliance

• Define and maintain QC processes — bug management, test documentation, release flow
• Own quality-related compliance documentation and coordination with external partners
• Maintain clear audit trails and test evidence for regulated financial products

6. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with ITBA and engineering to align on quality requirements early
• Communicate quality status, risks, and blockers clearly to leadership
• Participate in sprint planning and contribute to release readiness decisions

What You Need

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role
• Strong hands-on automation experience — Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, or equivalent — with production-grade implementation, not just prototypes
• Experience scaling and maintaining production-grade automation frameworks — improving coverage, stability, and CI/CD integration
• Strong understanding of CI/CD integration for automated tests
• Experience in fintech, lending, or payment systems — understanding of financial product complexity
• Ability to lead and develop a small team while staying hands-on
• Strong ownership mindset — defines the standard, does not wait to be told

Nice To Have

• Experience with Appium or mobile automation testing
• Experience with performance testing — JMeter or equivalent
• Familiarity with AI tools for testing — test case generation, anomaly detection
• Experience with API testing and database validation
• Familiarity with Kafka, webhooks, or event-driven systems
• Understanding of compliance and audit requirements in regulated financial environments
