QA Team Lead

About The Role

We are hiring a Senior QA Team Lead to own quality delivery for our AI agent products. You will still be hands-on on AI agent evaluation, while leading a small QA team (currently :2 contractors), aligning test plans with Engineering, and communicating progress and results with customers during project delivery.

This is not a traditional UI-only tester role, and it is not a pure automation-framework architect role. The core is: evaluate AI agent quality systematically, lead people to deliver on time, and stay calm and clear with customers and stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Own QA delivery for client projects: quality bar, release readiness, and clear status to the team
• Join client / stakeholder calls to walk through test results, risks, and what's left
• Use AI tools to speed up test design, exploratory checks, and regression
• Mentor :2 QA contractors: review, unblock, raise the bar
• Partner with Dev on test plans so coverage matches what we're shipping
• Keep reporting light and useful (what passed, what failed, what's blocking)
  
  

What We're Looking For


Must have

• 5-8+ years in Software QA / Quality Engineering (senior individual contributor), including substantial hands-on testing — not management-only.
• 1-2+ years leading or mentoring QA engineers
• Strong experience testing complex products end-to-end; able to design test approaches, not only execute scripts.
• Clear English for meetings, written updates, and customer-facing discussions.
• Calm, ownership-oriented, detail-minded; comfortable under delivery pressure and customer timelines.
  
  

Strongly preferred

• Hands-on experience evaluating AI/LLM/agent systems (accuracy, hallucination, tool use, non-deterministic behavior).
• Experience using AI tools/workflows to support testing.
• Experience coordinating with Dev on release/test planning in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with Playwright or similar automation is a plus (guide others; not required to build frameworks full-time).
