Job overview and responsibility

As a Principle DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing CI-CD pipelines for variety of tech stacks and help application teams to automate their entire software development and delivery process. You will work with business teams and cross-functional IT teams to manage and extend DevOps/DevSecOps platform and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and administer end to end GitLab platform.
• Install, configure and administer IaC solutions like Ansible, Cloud Formation and Terraform
• Write CI-CD pipelines in GitLab to automate build and deployment of different tech stack apps across AWS EKS cluster and traditional VMs.
• Design, develop, and implement infrastructure automation solutions using IaC tools like Ansible, CloudFormation and Terraform
• Collaborate with project teams to understand the nature of the app and write pipelines based on their requirements without compromising the platform security and governance controls.
• Write modular pipeline codes to promote re-usability and faster turnaround.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members on automation.

Requirements

• From 8 to 9+ years of experiences in related position.
• Hands-on experience in GitLab platform with focus on writing pipelines and automation
• Strong Python skills.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD
• Hands-on experience in container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts
• Strong knowledge of cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a must.
• Knowledge of application and infrastructure security best practices and standards (OWASP, CIS, NIST) is a must.
• Fluent in English verbal communication is a must.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
