Plumbing CAD Drafter & Markup Specialist

Role Summary:

We are seeking a reliable drafting partner to assist with converting residential construction drawings into simplified plumbing markups for on-site use.

The role includes producing both site drainage markups (stormwater/sewer) and internal rough-in markups, ensuring plumbers on-site have clear, easy-to-follow installation drawings.

Working Location: 2 to 3 days per week in-office (E. Town Central, HCMC)

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (AEST)

Key Responsibilities:

Site / Drainage Markups

• Highlight stormwater pipe runs
• Identify sewer layout and connection points
• Mark pits, inspection openings, and LPOD

Rough-In Markups (Internal)

• Show fixture locations (toilets, basins, showers, kitchen, laundry)
• Highlight solar panels, gas meter, A/C, etc.
• Identify penetrations and connection points

Excel Packing Sheets

• Create job-specific packing lists for plumbers
• Include fixture types and quantities required per job

Plan Review & Quantity Checking

• Check plumbing points (POs) against plans to ensure nothing is missed
• Identify missing items or inconsistencies before the job starts
• Flag issues or questions for clarification

Key Requirements:

• Experience with AutoCAD (or similar drafting software)
• Strong Excel skills (material lists, basic formulas, clean layouts)
• Ability to read and interpret residential construction drawings
• Experience in plumbing, construction, or civil drawings (preferred)
• High attention to detail
• Ability to follow structured templates and processes
• Understanding of Australian standards (AS/NZS 3500) is a bonus
• Good English communication skills.
