Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and high-quality production of electric vehicles.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of SAP and IMS systems within the manufacturing operations.
- Solve production issues as they arise, providing technical expertise and effective solutions.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on manufacturing performance to the Head of Manufacturing.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production and process issues.
- Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment in the plant.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Review and approve Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and control plans.
- Manage the engineering change request process to ensure timely and effective implementation of changes.
Cross Functional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Research and Development team to ensure manufacturability of new designs and provide feedback on design for manufacturability.
- Work with the supply chain team to ensure timely procurement of materials and components, and evaluate suppliers based on quality and reliability.
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and refine quality assurance protocols and ensure alignment with manufacturing processes.
- Assist in prototyping and pilot runs for new products, ensuring seamless transition from design to production.
- Participate in supplier audits and assessments to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
- Drive innovation initiatives within the manufacturing process and support the implementation of new technologies and methodologies to improve production efficiency.
- Support and implement sustainable manufacturing practices to reduce environmental impact.
- Ensure alignment between production processes and company objectives.
- Work with production planning to develop efficient production schedules and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and production goals are achieved.
- He/She should be responsible for the implementation of ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001.
Team responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineering.
- Provide training on new processes, equipment, and best practices to ensure team proficiency and adherence to standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set performance goals, and provide feedback and guidance to team members.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the team.
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
