About Pandora Production Vietnam
Pandora's new jewellery crafting facility is located in the Vietnam–Singapore Industrial Park III (VSIP III), about 40 km north of Ho Chi Minh City. When fully scaled, the state-of-the-art facility will produce up to 60 million jewellery pieces annually and employ around 7,000 craftspeople. It is powered entirely by renewable energy and built to LEED Gold certification standards.
Key Objectives
Strategy:
- Develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end manufacturing supply chain, from demand planning, procurement, production, warehouse management, and distribution to identify inventory optimization opportunities.
- Analyze inventory levels across raw materials, precious metals, gemstones, WIP, semi-finished goods, and finished goods to optimize working capital while supporting operational requirements.
- Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Planning teams to establish inventory targets, safety stock levels, and inventory reduction initiatives.
- Monitor inventory turnover, days inventory outstanding (DIO), excess and obsolete stock, and drive action plans to improve inventory efficiency.
- Identify and challenge inventory build-up trends, slow-moving stock accumulation, and inefficient inventory practices.
- Provide strategic recommendations to management on inventory reduction opportunities, working capital improvement, and cash-flow enhancement initiatives.
- Support management in balancing customer service requirements, production stability, and inventory investment levels.
- Lead periodic inventory health reviews and present findings, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
Day-To-Day Operation:
- Drive best practice in inventory closing processes and align month-end close with agreed timeline.
- Plan pre-close schedule, review pending inventory movement and ensure completion before inventory module closes.
- Review provision calculation, hedging price, spot rate, purchase conversion cost, purchase price variance and WIP reconciliation.
- Review stock report, inventory balance analysis, variance analysis and monthly inventory ending balance explanation for business performance reporting.
- Ensure inventory purchase, disposal, write-off, fiscal inventory count and third-party warehouse confirmation comply with policies and procedures.
Business Improvement and Transformation:
- Develop comprehensive understanding of inventory-related business processes from procurement, planning, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, costing, and financial reporting.
- Identify process inefficiencies, control gaps, automation opportunities, and system improvement initiatives across the inventory value chain.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, inventory visibility, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
- Support SAP, ERP, reporting automation, digitalization, and finance transformation projects.
- Drive root cause analysis of inventory variances and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Standardize inventory accounting processes, documentation, SOPs, and reporting across functions.
- Utilize data analytics and business intelligence tools to improve inventory monitoring and decision making.
- Promote best practices and strengthen governance over inventory-related activities.
Others:
- Establish, maintain and revise department procedures/policies/guidelines to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and compliance with law, regulation, group guidelines and control framework.
- Perform reviewer tasks for internal control framework.
- Coordinate with internal, group and external parties such as auditors, EPE/Custom/local authorities and relevant service providers to address and resolve matters.
- Support new business/projects and technology transformation such as SAP implementation and Basware-related process changes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, coach and develop team members.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or higher
• 7+ years experience in accounting, fixed asset control, inventory accounting or costing in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop team members.
• Good decision maker with ability to analyze financial postings, trends and operational impacts.
• Able to work independently, under pressure and within agreed mandate/timeline.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, quick learner and process improvement mindset.
