Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you'll be in the core Markets team, playing a pivotal role at the heart of PwC Vietnam's growth engine. This is a unique opportunity to gain direct exposure to firm-wide strategy, work with senior leaders, and make a tangible impact on our key market initiatives.

You will be the central force that connects strategy to execution, helping us win in the market.

  • Client Relationship Management: Maintaining strong working relationships with current clients is essential. Your proactive approach will contribute to client satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Exploration and Relationship Building: Actively seek new opportunities by exploring untapped markets. Building networks an relationships within these markets will be crucial for business growth.
  • Market Trends Awareness: Stay informed about market trends and use this knowledge to design service offerings that meet client requirements effectively.
  • Collaboration with Line of Services and Markets team: You'll work closely with these teams to deliver projects. Frequent learning and iteration are key components of this process.
  • Business Representation: You'll represent our services from a business perspective to both external stakeholders and internal clients. Effective communication and understanding of business needs are crucial.
  • Dynamic Planning and Prioritization: Leading the collaborative planning process, you'll prioritize tasks based on team capacity and capability. This ensures efficient execution of work.
  • Matrix Management: You'll oversee a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective coordination and alignment across various functions.

We are looking for a proven leader with a specific blend of commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and relationship-building prowess.

  • An established network: You have an existing network of relationships, enjoy engaging others and think in terms of market share, revenue, and client lifetime value. You have a proven track record of identifying an opportunity and seeing it through to commercial success.
  • An Influential Connector: You build and maintain C-level relationships with ease. You navigate complex organisations and unite diverse stakeholders behind a common goal.
  • An Agile & Decisive Leader: You are comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment, leading teams through ambiguity, and adapting strategy as the market evolves.
  • Data-Driven & Tech-Savvy: You use data to build a business case and tell a compelling story. You are genuinely interested in how technology (CRM, Gen AI) can create a competitive advantage.
  • A Confident & Polished Communicator: You command a room and articulate complex ideas with clarity and professionalism, both in writing and in person.

Requirement:

Essential:

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic account management, or a commercial role, ideally preferably in Financial Services.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills in English.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint (for crafting compelling stories, proposal) and Excel (for analysing data).
  • A strategic mindset with proven organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Bonus Points for:

  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
  • Proven skills in data analysis and reporting.
  • A keen interest and/or experience with Gen AI tools and emerging technologies.
