Role Description The General Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring accurate, timely posting of transactions. The General Accountant prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reconciles bank and supplier accounts, and supports budgeting and cash flow monitoring. The role also involves handling accounts payable and receivable, monitoring inventory-related financial records, and assisting with tax filings and compliance with local accounting regulations. The General Accountant collaborates with management to provide financial analysis and reports that support decision-making and continuous improvement of financial processes.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in general accounting, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost tracking, preferably in FMCG, hospitality, or wine and beverage distribution.
• Ability to work with accounting software and spreadsheets, with solid skills in Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems.
• Knowledge of Vietnamese accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements, with experience in tax filing and compliance.
• Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Ho Chi Minh City and manage deadlines in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
