General Accountant

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Accountant role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The General Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, including recording transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role involves monitoring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and local regulations, as well as assisting with tax-related documentation and audits. The General Accountant will collaborate with internal departments to provide financial data, support budgeting activities, and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office applications (especially Excel for spreadsheets and financial analysis).
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a structured, on-site environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a general accounting or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging-related industry.
