Role Description The General Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank accounts and other financial statements. The General Accountant prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supports budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensures compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. The position also involves handling accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow, assisting with audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide accurate financial data for decision-making. The General Accountant contributes to process improvements, helps strengthen internal controls, and supports UID's mission of delivering happiness through reliable and transparent financial management.
Qualifications

• Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and familiarity with Vietnamese accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, and other spreadsheet applications) to manage, analyze, and present financial data.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction recording, reconciliations, documentation, and compliance-related tasks.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial information, support budgeting and forecasting, and identify process improvements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, external partners, and auditors in a clear, respectful, and professional manner.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Experience in eCommerce, B2B services, or a similar industry is a plus, along with alignment to UID's values of Excellence, Teamwork, Commitment, Balance, Integrity, and Action.
