General Accountant

About the role:

I'm currently supporting an international company in the logistics industry in hiring a General Accountant. Candidates who can join immediately are preferred.

Location: Tan Binh District, HCMC

Salary: Upto VND 18M Gross/month

Working days: Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and control billing & VAT e-invoice processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Handle AR & AP, including customer/vendor reconciliation, payment review and outstanding balance monitoring.
• Perform bank reconciliation and follow up on unreconciled items.
• Support month-end & year-end closing, including revenue, costs, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Reconcile operational data, internal reports and accounting records, and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Review VAT, PIT & CIT reports and statutory accounting records.
• Prepare supporting documents for audit and tax-related matters when required.
• Work closely with Operations, Sales and external accounting service providers to ensure accurate and timely accounting records.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance.
• At least 2-3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding or a high-volume transaction environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with VAT e-invoicing, VAS, and local tax regulations.
• Solid experience in AR/AP, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Good Excel skills, including PivotTables and reconciliation functions.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems; experience in logistics-related systems is a plus.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Detail-oriented, hands-on and proactive with strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
