Frontend Engineer (ReactJS)

Working location: Tan My Ward, (District 7), HCMC

Salary range: Up to VND 65,000,000 gross

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a Mid/Senior Frontend Engineer (React + TypeScript) building the consumer-facing

experience - payment gateway, dynamic checkout, merchant/consumer flows - for a US-market

fintech product.

●Design, build, and maintain accessible, responsive React experiences across our payment,

merchant, dynamic checkout and internal operations products.

●Own frontend architecture across the codebase, including application structure, state

management, data flow, component boundaries, API integration, and dependencies. Surface

architectural, performance, and reliability risks early.

●Establish reusable patterns, shared components, and engineering standards across

products and teams.

●Act as the technical point of contact for frontend decisions with US-based stakeholders, and

raise the quality bar through code review, pairing, and guidance.

●Implement complex flows involving payments, multi-currency experiences, asynchronous

states, retries, failures, validations, and edge cases.

●Improve performance, reliability, accessibility, security, and maintainability across the

frontend codebase.

●Investigate production issues, support root-cause analysis, and help prevent recurring

problems.

REQUIREMENTS

●5+ years React/TypeScript, proven end-to-end ownership of production apps (not just team

contributor)

●Strong frontend architecture judgment - state management, component boundaries, API

integration

●Comfortable being a technical anchor: driving decisions, code review, raising the bar for

others

●Clear written/verbal English

●Genuinely available for up to 15 hrs/week overlap with New York hours (this usually means a

later start in Vietnam - afternoon into evening)

Strong plus:

●Payments/fintech/banking experience

●Next.js experience

●Testing tools (Jest, RTL, Cypress, Playwright)

Mindset:

●Growth mindset - comfort with feedback, learning quickly, and a thoughtful (not passive)

approach to AI coding tools like Copilot/Cursor/Claude Code

●Fast-paced/startup comfort - this team's process and structure are still being set up, so

candidates should be comfortable with some ambiguity rather than needing everything fully

defined upfront

portfolio, not siloed work

●The design team here is very detail-oriented about UX, so engineers need to be able to meet

that bar, not just take instruction
