Footwear Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Position Overview We are looking for a proactive Footwear QC Inspector to ensure our production meets strict AQL standards. You will ensure quality, conducting in-line, pre-final, and final inspections. Your core focus will be identifying issues early, communicating effectively with factory teams, and driving corrective actions to protect product integrity and shipment schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Production Monitoring

• Conduct comprehensive quality checks across all production stages—including materials, cutting, stitching, lasting, and inline assembly, to catch and limit defects early.
• Execute inline and Final Inspections within the QMS, and accurately select Gold Seal and Shipping samples.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production bottlenecks to maintain smooth operations, prevent STS claims, and safeguard on-time delivery.
• Monitor factory packing processes strictly to prevent mixed packs and subsequent STS claims.
• Support the Northern team by conducting virtual online inspections via video conference when required.

Testing, Auditing & Compliance

• Oversee internal factory bonding tests. Ensure one pair of BTS is tested daily, report results to the Tech team, and maintain accurate records for a one-year rolling period.
• Audit the Factory Upper Stitching Checklist continuously
• Monitor and enforce factory compliance regarding humidity control and metal detector policies.
• Complete and submit the monthly COP checklist.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

• Partner with Technicians in Risk Assessment meetings to anticipate issues on upcoming projects; accurately log risk assessment data into the system post-meeting.
• Coordinate with the Tech team to facilitate Pilot meetings with the factory and generate comprehensive Pilot Inspection reports.
• Maintain closed-loop communication with the NS Office, immediately escalating any issues that could impact quality or shipment dates.
• Actively develop cross-functional expertise by learning fitting, grade checking, and other standard Technician (RS) duties.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in footwear manufacturing or quality inspection.
• Language: Proficient English (must be able to read communications and write clear inspection reports).
• Technical Skills: Solid computer literacy (MS Office, QMS data entry).
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel and operate directly out of factory sites as production demands require.
