Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Main Purpose of Job: Giving the support, advice and take on the tasks assigned by line manager implementing in all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment (OHSE) with a strong focus on implementing initiatives, including developing & driving site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in OHSE performance in line with the BJCGLASS's DNA mindset of zero accidents and incidents.

Major Responsibility:

1.EHS System - Supporting

• To assit line manager in scheduling, implementing and eveluating accupational health, labor safety and environment inprovement plan to eliminate danger risks and preventing labor accidents and ensure all conditions at workplace complying with labor safety and environment legislation.
• To assit line manager Implement, control, maintain and improve the Factory OHSE Management systems including achieving and maintaining ISO14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 certification. Support this through developing and implementing specific tools and initiatives as part of the Factory's OHSE program
• To assist line manager in developing, deploying SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures) about safety to corrective and prevent fire and accident at workplace.

2.Risk Management

• Champion the Plant's EHS risk assessment program, including assessment, incident investigation, corrective action and auditing.
• Conducts quaterly/yearly safety Inspection of strictly equipment (including fire & fiting equipment) in factory according to local legislation
• Conducts Safety Inspection in conjunction with Front Line management according to local legislation, providing feedback, documenting findings and assisting the OHSE Manager in assuring corrective action for unsafe practices or conditions observed.
• To coordinate with relevant department heads to priodically inspect and assess machineries and equipment and chemical hazards, arranging repair or replacement as needed (Focus on Forming & Logout/tagout).
• To work with local authority in conducting quaterly, yearly environment inspection and measurement and suggesting appropriate improvement solutions to ensure environment at workplace in accordance with conditions stipulated by environment legislation.

3.Others

• Safety training conduct relevant training for BJC staffs/contractor
• Daily working with other department to update & close out the gaps from HUNS report.
• Regular check suppliers, contractor or third party related to OHSE&S.
• Participate in Shift hand over, daily meeting to support/ share key safety information to other department.
• Do the EHS monthly reports, government reports when needed
• Implementing other tasks assigned by OHSE Manager and Plant Manager

Requirement:

• Graduated from a college or higher in engineering related to safety, the environment, chemical or mechanical engineering, electricity
• At least 1 year experiece in Safety Health Environment. Experience in manufacturing in prefered.
• Understand about relevant local, national and International Legislation related to HSE.
• Have experience implementing and proposing ideas for safety incentive programs
• Need to have training & Coaching skills
• Well communication & able to influence others, problem-solving skill
• Well planning and time management
• Proficient in using Word, Excel, Power Point
• Communication – English (4 skills)
• Problem Solving (Fish Bone + 5 WHY)
