Overview:

As a Consulting Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-impact technical solutions to WWT's strategic enterprise customers across the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Vietnam, you will collaborate closely with clients, sales teams, and technology partners to design and implement innovative IT architectures that align with business goals and drive digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Architecture Planning: Develop and maintain a structured, templated Client Architecture Plan for a portfolio of WWT customers. Update quarterly to reflect evolving business and technical priorities.
  • Technical Pre-Sales Engagement: Partner with sales teams to understand customer challenges and propose tailored, forward-thinking solutions across infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and application domains.
  • Customer Discovery & Insight: Build deep relationships with client stakeholders to uncover technical needs, strategic initiatives, and transformation goals.
  • Solution Design & Delivery: Lead the creation of high-quality pre-sales deliverables including technical proposals, architectural diagrams, and scopes of work.
  • Workshops & Scoping: Facilitate technical workshops with customers, delivery teams, and partners to define requirements and align on solution scope.
  • Partner Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with key OEMs and service providers in Vietnam and the broader APAC region.
  • Trusted Advisor: Serve as a senior technical advisor to both customers and internal teams, guiding architecture decisions and mentoring junior consultants.
  • Consultative Support: Provide expert-level consulting across a wide range of enterprise technologies, ensuring alignment with customer objectives.
  • Opportunity Identification: Recognize and shape new service opportunities across WWT's portfolio through strategic client engagement.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required.

Experience:

  • 10–15 years in senior technical roles within enterprise IT, systems integration, or technology vendors.
  • 5+ years in pre-sales engineering or solution architecture.
  • 3–4 years in customer-facing consulting roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a business environment where English is used professionally.
  • Experience working with Fortune 500 clients or large-scale digital transformation projects is highly desirable.

Technical Expertise:

  • Deep knowledge in at least two of the following: Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Networking, Data Center, End-User Computing, or Application Architecture.
  • Familiarity with modern technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, cloud-native services, automation, AI/ML, and service management platforms.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CCIE, CCDE, CISSP, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, TOGAF, CDP, MCSE, or equivalent.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Business acumen to understand the impact of technology decisions on customer outcomes.
  • Passion for continuous learning and innovation.
