We're looking for a General Accountant to own daily accounting operations, tax compliance, and financial reporting. You will ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely closing, and provide financial insights that support business decisions while helping enhance our accounting systems and processes.
What you will do:
Accounting Operations (60%):
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
- Maintain general ledger account assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection and accurate reconciliation.
- Perform lender reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of related transactions and balances.
- Prepare management reports and provide timely financial information to support business decisions.
- Review the accounting treatment of tools and equipment, fixed assets, and ensure proper allocation and depreciation in compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records and supporting documents.
Financial Analysis and Reporting (20%):
- Conduct regular reviews and analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Tax Compliance (10%):
- Prepare and submit VAT, FCT and other statutory tax reports in compliance with Vietnamese regulations.
- Ensure timely tax declarations and payments.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting and tax regulations.
- Support tax audits and work with external auditors or authorities when required.
System Implementation and Enhancement (10%):
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance accounting systems and software.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance accuracy in accounting operations.
What you need to succeed in this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (relevant certifications are a plus).
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in fintech/trading/service companies (MNC is a plus)
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in AP, AR, Tax, and Reporting.
- Familiarity with system implementation and ability to adapt to new accounting software.
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Open-mindedness and willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches.
