Job Description

URGENT HIRING – We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible. Candidates who can start immediately are strongly preferred.

About FreakOut & GP

FreakOut is a Japanese ad-tech group operating across multiple markets in Asia. In Vietnam, FreakOut provides OTT/CTV, display, video and YouTube advertising solutions to brands and agencies.

GP is FreakOut's YouTube advertising solution, focused on brand safety and contextual targeting.

You will be in the driver's seat once GP campaigns go live: monitoring, analyzing and continuously optimizing so every campaign meets and beats its KPIs. You will also support the planning stage with benchmarks and KPI forecasts. This is an execution-focused, non-client-facing role.

How this role works with Account/Sales: Account/Sales owns the client and business results; Optimization owns campaign execution performance. The two roles work closely together from planning through to reporting.

Job Description

YouTube Performance Optimization (core)

  • Monitor campaign metrics daily: impressions, reach, frequency, views, VTR, CPV, CPM, CTR, pacing and budget burn.
  • Spot campaigns at risk of missing KPIs early (under-delivery, over-pacing, low VTR, high CPV) and act promptly.
  • Execute hands-on optimizations: placement/channel lists, contextual & audience targeting, bid strategy, frequency caps, budget reallocation across lines/formats, creative rotation.
  • Break down performance by channel, content, device, daypart and creative to find optimization levers.
  • Run and evaluate A/B tests (creative, targeting, bid) and build category-specific best practices.

Brand Safety & Placement Quality

  • Review placements regularly, exclude unsuitable channels/content, and maintain exclusion lists in line with GP standards and brand requirements.
  • Work with third-party measurement vendors (where applicable) to reconcile viewability and brand safety data.

Reporting & Insights

  • Own the data and first draft of weekly, mid-flight and post-campaign reports, with insights and recommendations; Account/Sales presents them to clients.
  • Build and maintain performance dashboards for internal tracking.

Planning Support

  • Provide benchmarks by category/format (CPV, CPM, VTR, reach) to support Account/Sales in building media plans.
  • Forecast KPIs and check feasibility (inventory, targeting scale, brand safety constraints) before plans are sent to clients.
  • Feed learnings from past campaigns back into planning best practices.

Collaboration

  • Align with Account/Sales on KPIs and optimization priorities; flag at-risk campaigns early and agree on actions.
  • Join client meetings only when Account/Sales needs technical support; client relationships and revenue are owned by Account/Sales.
  • Coordinate with Ad Ops and regional GP teams on setup, QA and campaign troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience running and optimizing YouTube campaigns at an agency, ad-tech company or in-house team.
  • Proficient in Google Ads (Video campaigns) and/or DV360; solid understanding of YouTube formats, buying models (CPV, CPM, reservation vs. auction) and targeting layers.
  • Strong grasp of video metrics (VTR, CPV, reach, frequency, viewability) and how they interact; able to turn data into optimization actions.
  • Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts).
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle pressure while managing multiple campaigns at once.
  • Good written and reading English (working with platforms and regional teams).

Nice to Have

  • Google Ads Video / Measurement or DV360 certifications.
  • Understanding of brand safety, brand suitability and contextual targeting.
  • Experience with IAS, DoubleVerify, Nielsen or brand lift studies.
  • Experience with Looker Studio, SQL or BI tools for dashboards.
  • Japanese language skills are a plus.

Benefits

  • Salary: VND 20,000,000 - VND 30,000,000/month (gross) + KPI-based bonus.
  • Full social insurance (based on full salary) and health insurance as required by law.
  • Annual health check-up (once a year).
  • 13th-month salary (subject to the company's business performance).
  • Company-provided laptop.
  • Work with a Japanese ad-tech solution and major brands; in-depth training on YouTube, brand safety and GP.
  • Career path to Senior Optimization / Team Lead.
