Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in manufacturing test engineering, including fixture DFM, test automation, and test coverage optimization.
  • Experience in NPI for consumer electronics (e.g., smartphones, laptops, wearable devices), specifically developing Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Final Assembly, Test, and Packaging (FATP) test strategies, and driving quality metrics and Process Capability Index (Cpk).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience in manufacturing test and program management.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in hardware test debugging, troubleshooting, Capital Expenditure (Capex) optimization, and failure analysis investigation.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working with international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) partners to mass produce consumer electronics products.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Chinese fluently to liaise with counterparts.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage factory test stations from concept to sustaining, act as the point of contact to internal and external teams (CM/Fixture vendors), manages overall test readiness(xVT to MP), risks and communication to cross-functional teams.
  • Develop test strategy and optimize the test processes across the entire production line from SMT, sub-assembly and FATP (Final Assembly, Test, Packout).
  • Drive CPK, retest and test issues during manufacturing stages.
  • Work with CM on test related SOP, test fixtures readiness, cycle time/UPH, and line balance. Manage schedules and plan for all test engineering deliverables (data collection features/solutions, test framework software drops, fixture bring-up, fixture qualification, ongoing audits, etc.).
  • Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams in developing test coverage including assessment of process flow, equipment/fixture designs, process controls, implementation schedules and validation plans prior to xVT build.
