Job overview

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Program Manager with agronomic expertise and a passion for creating lasting social and environmental impact across Vietnam's Central Highlands. This role is responsible for leading the implementation of a sustainable coffee program supporting 5,000 coffee farming households across the Central Highlands, with the objective of promoting regenerative agriculture, climate resilience, market compliance, and improved farmer livelihoods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, manage, and develop a team of 15 Agronomy Field Officers.
  • Serve as the technical lead for regenerative coffee production, including providing agronomic guidance to farmers and building the capacity of field teams.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders to implement community development activities aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening climate resilience for participating farmers, particularly in remote and economically disadvantaged areas.
  • Coordinate activities to ensure compliance with AtSource Sustainable Coffee Program requirements and support the implementation of independent project assessments and evaluations.
  • Develop work plans, monitor implementation progress, prepare reports, oversee data collection, analyze program performance and impact, and compile stories, photos, and other communication materials.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Management Team.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the coffee sector and/or sustainable agriculture.
  • Proven experience managing field teams and large-scale development projects.
  • Capacity to train field staff and farmers on sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Experience working with rural communities, particularly in remote areas, is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in both Vietnamese and English.
  • High level of integrity and a strong passion for sustainability and community development.
  • High mobility, willing to travel to project sites and farming communities.
  • Location: Based within the project implementation area in Vietnam's Central Highlands, with preference for candidates located in Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, or Kon Tum provinces.
