SSC Support Supplier Quality Engineer

Job purpose: The role involves executing First Article Inspections (FAI) for supplier products. It includes identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions under the supervision of the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE). Additionally, the position requires establishing criteria for incoming inspections of serial production parts in collaboration with the Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team after evaluating the FAI. The role also entails performing source inspections of components based on ATS02 criteria prior to shipment to Asco sites.

Job summary:

Review of FAI files

• Review the first article files of the suppliers with the applicable configuration data.
• For parts produced at UACV: Inspection of the first parts after certification by UACV and before delivery. Check dimensions and perform a visual inspection.
• Define deviations detected during inspection and review of the FAI file and transmit the deviations with a proposal of corrective action to the SQE at ASCO for further actions with the supplier.
• After receiving the corrections by the supplier, check the data received and add it to the FAI file.
• After completion of the FAI review send the file to the SQE in ASCO for final validation.

Creation of inspection program

• Creation of the inspection program for incoming inspection:
• Create and update Asco Technical Sheets (ATS) for incoming inspection based on the configuration (3D models, drawings, specifications, etc) of the parts, material or products.

Source inspection

• Perform source inspection before components are shipped to Asco sites.
• Inspection is to be performed by use of ATS02. Next to verification of the components, the certificates also need to be verified on compliance.

It is not a replacement of the inspection to be performed by the supplier.

The goal of the source inspection is to reduce the inspection work at incoming inspection on the Asco sites.

Job requirements:

• Education: bachelor or master's in engineering or equivalent by experience.
• Languages: English fluently
• Skills:
• Strong technical skills
• Experience in a quality function is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills
• Eye for details
• Knowledge of measuring technics
