Supplier Quality Engineer (Fasterner)

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new local suppliers in alignment with company standards and requirements

• Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and capability evaluations to ensure quality compliance

• Develop and implement supplier development programs to improve quality performance and manufacturing capabilities

• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards with suppliers

• Monitor supplier quality metrics and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) where needed

• Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Procurement, Production) to align supplier capabilities with product requirements

• Manage an initial portfolio of 5–10 suppliers, with scope expected to expand over time

• Maintain accurate documentation of supplier qualification records, audit reports, and improvement plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Quality Engineering, or related functions.

• Mandatory experience in fastener manufacturing (bolt, screw, nut, fastener).

• Strong knowledge of tooling, plating, heat treatment, coating, technical drawings, manufacturing quality, and supplier development.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.

• Good understanding of quality management systems; knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 is an advantage.

• Good communication skills in English.

• Able to work independently and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
