Job Description

THE ROLE

  • Responsible for providing the highest quality of body massage; bringing peace, calm and rejuvenating treatments to our guests.
  • To arrive 15 minutes prior to shift schedule to check on appointment schedule of the day, assist in opening shift duties which includes preparation of fresh products, welcome drinks and adequate count of hot and cold towels for a smooth operation.
  • Account for and replenish operating supplies and guest amenities (e.g. shampoo, conditioner etc.) in the Spa suites and reception area according to departmental operating procedures.
  • Ensures that Spa Suites are set up as per operating standards and that all Spa & Wellness facilities are ready to operate before official opening hours.
  • Perform shift closing checks on Spa Suites. Ensures that they are kept in a clean and tidy condition; turn off lights, air conditioners. Secure all doors and windows, ensures that steam machines as well as water faucets are switched off.Oil burners must be taken to prep area for cleaning and candles must not be left burning.
  • To maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene of the product, equipment and spa facilities.
  • Assist in the proper maintenance of spa suites and preparation area when not attending to guests (e.g. linen folded and neatly stacked in the storage area).
  • To set up the suite before the guests check in and re-set up after the guests have are done with the treatment.
  • Ensures that all treatment supplies and guest amenities are prepared prior to starting treatments to ensure a smooth and undisturbed session for the guests.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately to ensure defect-free guest rooms prior to treatment appointments.
  • Introducing guests to spa products, services, and treatment packages. Make recommendations based on the guest's profile, preferences or professed needs, hold live demonstrations, and offer samples.
  • Assists guest in the orientation and use of the spa facilities. Be familiar with the department's standard operating procedures and hotel policies.
  • Assists guests in providing information and addressing inquiries relating to Spa Menu and or hotel facilities. Provide guests with directions and escort them to their destination.
  • Handles guest requests and immediately refers problems and complaints to the Floor Supervisor.
  • Contributes to creating positive and harmonious work environment and maintain good relations with all colleagues.
  • Attend and assists in training sessions as directed by managers or supervisors.
  • Adhere strictly to all standard operating procedures and policies set by the hotel.

TALENT PROFILE

Qualification

  • Certified Massage Therapist with a valid professional massage certification.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Massage Therapist in a spa, wellness center, resort, or luxury hotel.
  • Proven experience in delivering both body massage therapies and facial treatments to professional standards.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in a wide range of body massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Hot Stone, and Therapeutic Massage).
  • Skilled in performing facial treatments, including cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage, mask application, and skincare procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, massage techniques, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
  • Excellent customer service and consultation skills, with the ability to recommend suitable treatments based on guests needs.
  • Ability to deliver a personalized, professional, and high-quality wellness experience.
