Sommelier

The Monkey Gallery DINING explores Vietnamese cuisine through a contemporary lens. We're looking for a Sommelier to develop our wine program, deliver thoughtful wine service, and help our team recommend wines with confidence.

YOUR ROLE

• Guide guests through our wine list with recommendations suited to their preferences, menu, and budget.

• Manage daily wine service, including quality checks, serving temperatures, decanting, and Coravin use.

• Work with the kitchen on wine pairings and develop our wine list and by-the-glass selection.

• Maintain accurate inventory, monitor costs and stock movement, and coordinate purchasing with suppliers and management.

• Keep wine information and pricing updated, train the service team, and support the floor during service.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Relevant wine service experience, preferably in fine dining.

• Good knowledge of wines and food pairing, with an approachable service style.

• WSET Level 2 or above preferred; equivalent practical experience is welcome.

• Strong communication skills in Vietnamese and English.

• Confidence using Excel or Google Sheets, attention to detail, and a responsible approach to inventory.

• A collaborative mindset and availability for shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

You'll work closely with our kitchen and service teams and have an active role in shaping the wine program. Salary is negotiable based on experience and capability.
