Migration Verification & Quality Assurance (Core Focus)

Analyze legacy systems, migration scope, business rules and target solutions
Design and execute migration verification approaches to ensure functional equivalence between legacy and target systems
Validate migration outcomes across data, APIs, interfaces, batch processes, reports and business logic
Define and implement data reconciliation, old-vs-new comparison testing and regression validation strategies
Review migration scripts, test results and technical deliverables to identify defects, risks and inconsistencies
Support performance validation, integration testing and production readiness assessment
Identify migration risks early and work with project teams to drive resolutions
Utilize AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation generation, test design, automation and quality validation activities

Technical Analysis & Problem Solving

Investigate and understand legacy systems with limited or outdated documentation
Reverse-engineer business processes, workflows and system behaviors when required
Analyze complex technical issues and recommend practical solutions
Learn new technologies, platforms and business domains rapidly
Support troubleshooting during migration execution, cutover and post-go-live stabilization

Development & Automation Enablement

Develop or enhance migration utilities, data validation tools and automation frameworks using Java, .NET or related technologies
Build scripts and tools to improve migration productivity and quality assurance effectiveness
Support API validation, database verification and automated comparison mechanisms
Collaborate with development teams to improve system quality, maintainability and testability

Presales & Stakeholder Collaboration

Support proposal preparation, technical assessments and effort estimation activities
Communicate technical findings, risks and recommendations to project teams and clients
Work closely with BA, developers, testers and stakeholders to ensure migration objectives and quality expectations are met

Qualifications

Must-have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related fields
5+ years of experience in Software Development, Testing, System Analysis or Quality Engineering
Strong hands-on experience in Java or .NET development
Experience in system migration, modernization, system integration or enterprise application projects
Strong understanding of APIs, databases, data validation and distributed systems
Experience working with SQL and relational databases
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to understand unfamiliar systems and business processes quickly
Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve productivity in development, testing, analysis or documentation
Good English communication skills

Nice to have

Experience in Migration Testing, Data Migration Validation or Legacy Modernization programs
Experience with Automation Testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
Background in Quality Assurance, Test Architecture or Technical Leadership
Experience in Banking, Financial Services or other regulated industries
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Exposure to AI-assisted software engineering and quality engineering practices
Japanese communication skills
