Key Responsibilities:
Join us as a key technical leader where your expertise and passion for team development will shape the future of our engineering organization. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Leadership across both locations (Vietnam & Japan) to shape architecture, streamline processes, and drive innovation.
This role offers not only the opportunity to step into a Head of Engineering position but also a clear pathway toward becoming the CTO of our Da Nang Office - driving innovation, building world-class teams, and making a lasting impact on our company's growth journey.
- Lead the local engineering team in Da Nang and ensure delivery of high-quality software aligned with product goals.
- Define and execute branch-level technical strategies in collaboration with the global CTO and product team.
- Foster an agile and collaborative team culture with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Provide system architecture decisions, technology selection, and infrastructure planning.
- Introduce and promote DevOps (DORA) and trunk-based development practices.
- Offer guidance and mentoring to junior and new team members.
- Implement and review code with your team members.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across Vietnam and Japan.
Requirements:
Must have
- Decent communication English skill to work with global members.
- 8+ years of experience in web application development.
- Experience in operating and re-architecting systems operated more than 5 years.
- Confident with Ruby/PHP/Python or what other languages, with a willingness to work with Ruby.
- Highly productive in coding, designing, and unit testing with Linux and web-based application's frameworks (fluent in at least two of the following: Ruby on Rails, NestJS, Laravel, CakePHP, Django, etc.).
- Hand-on experience with designing and tuning complex relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL.
- Experience in team management.
Nice to have
- Experience in Frontend frameworks (e.g., Vue.js)
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, or SRE practices.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance team productivity.
