RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and direction to the backend team for project execution.
- Ensure backend stability and quality, owning the backend technical architecture.
- Collaborate and communicate with the stakeholders on backend project planning and execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with detailed product specifications.
- Review and approve backend technical documentation and code.
- Provide mentorship, training, and oversee the career development of backend engineers.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of backend development, 2+ years in a leadership or senior mentorship capacity.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Good command of English both written and spoken.
Technical proficiency
- Expert-level implementation skills with C#, ASP.NET and .NET Core.
- Strong understanding and proficiency in design patterns, data structures, and development best practices.
- Extensive experience and understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Advanced understanding of both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Leadership & collaboration
- Proven ability to lead and mentor Engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and frontend developers.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in the gaming industry
- Experience working and collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones
- Experience working with Unity
