Job Summary
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be a visionary and strategic leader responsible for all aspects of our company&aposs technology development and IT infrastructure. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong business acumen. The CTO will drive our technological strategy, build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, and ensure that our technology stack is scalable, secure, and innovative.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with our business goals.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow our engineering and product teams. Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
- Architectural Oversight: Oversee the design and implementation of our software architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Product Development: Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define the product roadmap and deliver high-quality products on time.
- Innovation & R&D: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure we maintain a competitive edge. Drive research and development initiatives.
- Budgeting & Resource Management: Manage the technology budget, resources, and vendor relationships efficiently.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate the technology strategy and its progress to the executive team, board members, and external partners.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role CTO, VP of Engineering.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, specific programming languages (Python, Java, Node.js), and database technologies. A strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps, and agile methodologies.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire diverse engineering teams. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Business Acumen: A solid understanding of business operations and how technology can drive business growth and revenue. Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor&aposs or Master&aposs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
