Department: Marketing and Communications

Employment Type: Full-time (at least 3-month period)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a 1.5-hour lunch break.

About the role

Are you curious about social media and eager to learn how content is made from idea to publication Fulbright University Vietnam is seeking four Social Media Content Interns to support its always-on content work. Under the guidance of the Marketing and Communications team, you will contribute to planning, scripting, content capture, basic editing, and publishing preparation. Assignments will be clearly scoped and reviewed, giving you practical experience while supporting stories about university life and impact.

Roles and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Social Media Content Intern are organized across three primary areas:

Social Media Content Production

  • With guidance from the Marketing and Communications team, plan weekly social media activities based on approved briefs, the university calendar, campus activities, audience interests, and platform trends.
  • Deliver 3 to 5 completed content outputs per week in line with assigned content and performance KPIs. Outputs may include videos, captions, blog posts, or content adapted across platforms.
  • With guidance, develop captions, hooks, scripts, storyboards, shot lists, interview questions, and simple production plans in English or Vietnamese for review.
  • Help prepare locations, schedules, props, equipment, permissions, and source materials, then participate in filming, photography, interviews, and content execution.
  • Complete assigned editing tasks such as selecting and trimming clips, adding captions or subtitles and simple graphics, resizing assets, and exporting drafts for review.
  • Keep working files organized and follow the team's guidance on brand, accuracy, accessibility, consent, and copyright.

Project Coordination and Campaign Support

  • Support assigned marketing projects and campaigns by coordinating with colleagues, vendors, and supporting agencies, and by keeping project leads updated on progress.
  • Help update campaign trackers, monitor timelines and deliverables, and prepare materials or progress reports as requested.

Event Activation and Research Support

  • Provide support for virtual and in-person events, including logistics and on-site coordination as needed.
  • Perform competitive market analysis to identify areas of opportunity and emerging trends.
  • Contribute fresh ideas that can enhance the brand's standing and student engagement.

Other tasks assigned

  • Support day-to-day marketing operations, especially campaign monitoring, reporting, tracking, and cross-team coordination.
  • Assist with CRM data entry and database management to ensure lead information is accurate and up to date.

Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

  • No prior professional experience is required. Coursework, club activities, volunteer work, or personal projects involving content are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic experience using a phone or simple tools to create content is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Interest in storytelling, social media, and learning through hands-on practice.
  • Basic smartphone filming or photography skills, or a willingness to learn.
  • Basic familiarity with tools such as CapCut and Canva
  • Ability to write clearly and adapt tone with examples and feedback from the team.
  • Ability to follow briefs, checklists, file-naming rules, and agreed deadlines.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and revising work through several draft rounds.
  • Attention to accuracy and willingness to follow brand, consent, copyright, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Comfortable supporting work behind the camera and appearing on camera when willing and appropriate.
  • Able to collaborate respectfully with other interns, students, faculty, and staff.
  • Comfortable communicating in Vietnamese and able to work with English-language briefs and feedback.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A compact portfolio, personal social account, or sample of school or club content.
  • Participation in a student club, media team, event team, or creative project.
  • Interest in short-form video, campus stories, and current social media formats.
  • Interest in education, youth culture, and making ideas easy to understand.
