Job Description
About Lilyo
We are building a new product called Lilyo.
Lilyo is building an AI-powered interview co-pilot for recruiters — helping them run better briefings, ask better questions in the moment, and evaluate candidates fairly and consistently, with a human always in control. We're an early-stage startup, building first for the Vietnam market, and looking for people who want to help shape something from the ground up.
The role
We're looking for a senior UI/UX designer (on a freelance basis) to take ownership of our product design — from the recruiter's briefing screen to the live interview experience to how candidates are evaluated. You'll work directly with the founder and our engineering team, translating a product vision into clear, usable designs and setting the standard for how design works at Lilyo.
This is not a production role where you execute finished specs. We're looking for someone who can think through complex recruiter workflows, make confident design decisions, and defend them.
What you'll be doing
- Owning the design of core product screens and end-to-end flows
- Establishing and maintaining our design system as the product scales
- Turning rough concepts and product requirements into testable, high-fidelity prototypes
- Working closely with the founder and engineers to make sure designs ship as intended
- Bringing structure to how we make design decisions — patterns, components, documentation
- Talking to recruiters and users to pressure-test assumptions
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, with a track record of shipping B2B SaaS products
- Experience designing for an HRM, ATS, or recruiting platform — or comparable workflow-heavy enterprise software
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including component libraries and design systems
- Very good written and spoken English
- A portfolio that shows your reasoning and trade-offs, not just polished final screens
- Comfort with ambiguity — you can take a loose brief and come back with a clear proposal
- Proven ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving remote team
Nice to have, but not required: experience with AI-driven or data-heavy interfaces, background in UX research, or prior work in an early-stage startup environment.
The engagement
- Freelance / contract basis, fully remote
- You can commit to Vietnam timezone working ours
- We're looking for a reliable, ongoing commitment rather than a one-off project
- Rate depending on experience, billed hourly or per project
- Start: as soon as possible
