Job Description

I. Position Overview

VinEnergo is seeking an experienced treasury and fundraising professional to lead implementation of capital-raising strategy for its renewable energy portfolio in Vietnam.

This role sits at the intersection of corporate treasury, project finance, and investor relations, supporting the company's growth across solar, wind, and related clean energy infrastructure addressing the funding needs from Vinenergo 100GW ambition and 82GW pipeline. Wit USD 1.5M per MW capex, the funding needs for next decade sit at USD 150 billion, equal to the national debt of Denmark. Today Vinenergo has USD 0.2B debt and USD 3.1B capital secured.

II. Key Responsibilities

  • Debt fundraising strategy for renewable energy projects, including corporate bond issuance project finance facilities, and structured credit
  • Manage relationships with international banks, DFIs, and institutional investors
  • Structure and negotiate financing terms for project-level and corporate-level capital raises
  • Oversee treasury operations: liquidity management, FX exposure, and capital allocation across the project pipeline
  • Prepare investment memoranda, financial models, and materials for investor due diligence.
  • Coordinate with legal, tax, and technical teams on financing documentation and regulatory compliance (including Vietnam's investment and foreign exchange framework).
  • Monitor capital markets and DFI/ESG funding trends relevant to Vietnam's energy transition.
  • Report financing strategy and capital structure recommendations to senior leadership

III. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate treasury, with a strong track record in fundraising.
  • Demonstrated experience structuring debt or equity financing for infrastructure, energy, or project finance transactions.
  • Strong network among regional and international financial institutions, DFIs, and institutional investors
  • Solid understanding of Vietnamese investment regulations, capital account rules, and cross-border financing structures (or strong aptitude to build this quickly)
  • Excellent financial modeling, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent English required; Vietnamese language ability a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; CFA, MBA, or equivalent preferred
