Senior System Engineer - Micro AD & M365

Role description

• Type of contract: Full-time
• Place of work: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

You will own the administration, security, and continuous improvement of EmbedIT's Microsoft 365 environment, keeping the collaboration and productivity tools that power our company and clients secure, reliable, and automated. You will work across Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, and the security stack, driving automation with PowerShell and the Power Platform. You will collaborate with IT security daily and act as the escalation point for the most complex M365 issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support the full Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD): user identities, groups, roles, and Conditional Access policies.
• Implement and manage M365 security using Microsoft Defender (Office 365, Identity, Endpoint) and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Oversee endpoint management with Microsoft Intune across corporate and personal devices (MDM/MAM).
• Automate administrative tasks and workflows using PowerShell and the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
• Manage data governance and compliance with Microsoft Purview, including DLP, eDiscovery, and retention policies.
• Act as the escalation point for complex M365 issues and collaborate with IT security to monitor, respond to threats, and enforce best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation for M365 architecture, processes, and standards.

Your Experience and Skills

• Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 or Systems Administrator in an enterprise environment.
• Strong proficiency administering core M365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity (ADFS, Entra ID Connect).
• Solid understanding of M365 security and compliance features (Defender, Purview, Intune).
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal English for collaboration in an international team.
• Nice to have: PowerShell scripting for M365 automation; Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Graph API experience.
• Nice to have: Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, or SC-400; background in IT services or consulting.
