Senior QA Engineer

SENIOR QA ENGINEER

Working location: District 1, HCMC

Salary range: Up to VND 40,000,000 gross

RESPONSIBILITIES

We're a small team moving fast. We need a QA engineer who can own quality across

manual and automated testing — someone who breaks things before our users do.

·      Own quality end-to-end across our mobile apps (iOS/Android) and web platform — from test planning through release

·      Design, write, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test data for new features and regression cycles

·      Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across our insurance workflows: onboarding, KYC, health assessments, policy issuance, claims submission, teleconsultation, and payment flows

·      Build and maintain automated test suites — API tests and UI tests using tools like

·      Appium, Maestro, or similar; integrate them into our CI/CD pipeline

·      Manage bug tracking and triage — reproduce, document, prioritize, and follow through to resolution with clear reproduction steps

·      Work closely with developers and product to shift left — participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and requirement walkthroughs to catch issues before code is written

·      Test third-party integrations — payment gateways, teleconsultation partners, identity verification, and health data providers

·      Maintain and evolve our QA process as the team grows — CI test gates, staging environments, release checklists, and coverage metrics

·      Conduct UAT coordination with internal stakeholders and B2B clients

·      Drive release readiness — sign off on builds, track regression health, and make the call on go/no-go when trade-offs are needed

REQUIREMENTS

·      4 years of QA experience, with at least 1–2 years in mobile-first or fintech/insurtech products

·      1–2 years of automation experience — hands-on with Appium, Maestro, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar mobile automation frameworks

·      Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals — test design techniques, bug lifecycle, regression strategy, risk-based testing

·      Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android) and REST APIs

·      Comfortable with SQL for data validation and Postman/similar for API testing

·      Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD test pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar)

·      Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, Linear, or similar)

·      Strong communication in Vietnamese; conversational English for working with international team members

·      Detail-oriented but pragmatic — you know when to block a release and when to log and move on

·      Ownership mindset — you own quality, not just test what devs built

·      Experience in insurance, fintech, or health tech domain

·      Exposure to performance testing or security testing basics

·      Experience with device cloud platforms (Firebase Test Lab, AWS Device Farm)

·      Familiarity with visual regression testing tools (Percy, Applitools)

·      Accessibility testing experience (VoiceOver, TalkBack)

·      Prior experience at an early-stage startup (Seed to Series A)
