Senior Product Engineer

The incumbent is responsible for upholding company brand by applying deep product and quality knowledge throughout the supply chain. By combining proactive quality management with active involvement in product development, the Senior Product Engineer ensures business priorities are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

Job responsibilities:

• Responsible for to lead/ support or co-develop with customer and supplier for innovation and R&D.
• Responsible for product development with smart design, design for quality, and design for manufacturability.
• Responsible for product cost management from pre-costing, costing review and design to cost to hit the cost target.
• Accountable for systems and processes implementation, supplier's capability development and product design approval.
• Establish and maintain product quality standards, assess and drive supplier quality excellence, ensure effective issue resolution and quality disposition.
• Lead the CQS/ SEP and key supplier quality development and maintenance program in China & Southeast Asia.
• Collaborate with business partners and train suppliers to ensure their development and maintenance.
• Provide coaching & mentoring for team members and manage their performance & productivity.

Requirements:

• Degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent background.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, product development, quality management, or supply chain operations with Toys and Gifts products.
• Having knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering principles, plastic injection molding processes and tooling, packing solutions.
• Good command of oral and written English; Cantonese and Mandarin will be an advantage.
• Computer proficiency including applying AI.
• Team management experience with high sense of accuracy, urgency and confidentiality.
• Flexible to work under changing and diverse work settings and willing to travel to supplier sites for problem solving.
