Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Senior Process Engineer – SMT/PCBA to join our solar manufacturing team in Ho Chi Minh City. In this on-site role, you will design, develop, and optimize processes for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) specific to solar manufacturing. You will oversee process control, analyze operations for improvement opportunities, and ensure process efficiency and reliability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and involvement in quality assurance processes will also be key components of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Process Design and Process Engineering
• Proficiency in applying and monitoring Process Control techniques
• Advanced Analytical Skills to optimize manufacturing efficiency and performance
• Educational background or expertise in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team setting
• Familiarity with SMT and PCBA processes in a solar or electronics manufacturing environment is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to ensuring product quality and adhering to safety standards

Experience

• 8–10 years in Process Engineering (SMT / PCBA)
• Experience in solar, power electronics, or EMS companies (Jabil, Flex, Foxconn, etc.)
• Proven track record in high-volume manufacturing environments

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on knowledge of:
• SMT processes (printing, placement, reflow, AOI)
• PCBA assembly (THT, wave soldering, conformal coating)
• Deep understanding of:
• Defect mechanisms & yield improvement
• Gerber, PCB design, DFM analysis
• Experience with:
• Process tools: DOE, PFMEA, SPC, Six Sigma
• Equipment programming & process tuning
• Familiarity with automation & Industry 4.0 is a plus

Education

Bachelor's or higher in Electrical / Electronics / Manufacturing Engineering
