Job Description

Role: Senior Interior Visualization Designer / Senior Interior Modeler

Employer: UMI ASIA (Vietnam) Ltd.

Work location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Team: UMIBE Production Team

1. Role Context

The role is part of the UMIBE Production Team, operating within an international service-provider setup for architectural visualization and digital real estate production.

The employee will work in a structured international production environment, connected with overseas technical counterparts through a matrix organization. Daily work will involve digital task allocation, technical clarification, progress updates, review comments and correction cycles.

This is a visualization and production role. It is not a licensed architectural design, engineering design, statutory approval or construction-documentation role.

2. Role Objective

The Senior Interior Visualization Designer / Senior Interior Modeler is responsible for producing, refining and quality-checking high-quality interior 3D models and visual assets based on architectural drawings, interior references, technical instructions, production standards and assigned tasks.

The role requires strong technical modelling capability, disciplined file handling, reliable execution, and direct communication in English with international counterparts.

3. Core Responsibilities

1. Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, floor plans, interior references, material references and technical instructions.

2. Producing accurate and detailed interior 3D models for residential, commercial, hospitality or comparable real estate environments.

3. Building and refining interior layouts, walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, fixtures, lighting elements, decorative objects and material surfaces.

4. Preparing interior scenes for rendering, real-time visualization, configurators, digital walkthroughs, Navigator-related use and other approved digital presentation formats.

5. Working with Blender, Unreal Engine, Photoshop and other approved production tools.

6. Using Jira for task tracking, work allocation, progress updates, clarification requests, correction cycles and status reporting.

7. Using Google Workspace, Google Meet, Deon and other approved communication or workflow tools for daily coordination.

8. Ensuring file structure, naming, asset organization and delivery formats comply with production standards.

9. Identifying missing, unclear or inconsistent input information and raising clarification requests in a structured and timely manner.

10. Reviewing assigned interior outputs for modelling accuracy, visual quality, scene consistency, file discipline and production readiness.

11. Supporting correction cycles, rework reduction, quality improvement and workflow stabilization.

12. Coordinating with exterior modelers, QA roles, project coordinators and international technical counterparts.

4. Required Technical Skills

The candidate must have strong capability in:

  • interior architectural visualization and 3D production;
  • architectural plan reading and spatial interpretation;
  • Blender or 3DSMax;
  • Unreal Engine;
  • Jira-based task management;
  • Google Workspace-based collaboration;
  • structured file organization and naming discipline;
  • material, texture and lighting preparation for interior visualization;
  • scene preparation for real-time visualization and digital presentation;
  • correction-cycle handling and rework management;
  • quality checking of assigned interior production outputs.

Knowledge of Deon, Jira and other project-specific systems is an advantage. Where prior experience is not available, the candidate must be able to learn and use these systems quickly and accurately

5. Required Language Skills

The candidate must have proficient English communication capability, verbal and written, for technical coordination, clarification handling, JIRA-based task communication and cross-border workflow execution.

German language capability is an asset, but not mandatory.

6. Experience Requirement

  • approximately 10 years of relevant experience in interior visualization, architectural visualization, 3D modelling or digital real estate production;
  • a strong portfolio of interior visualization work;
  • experience with residential, commercial, hospitality or comparable real estate environments;
  • proven ability to work from drawings, references, technical instructions and production standards;
  • experience working in structured production workflows with deadlines, revisions, quality control and client feedback.

7. Working Environment

UMI ASIA VN offers a professional and international working environment in Ho Chi Minh City.

The employee will work as part of a Vietnam-based production team connected with international colleagues and technical counterparts. Work allocation, review, feedback and communication will be managed through structured digital systems and regular online coordination.

The position includes structured onboarding, international exposure and a 13th-month salary in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations in Vietnam.

  • compliance with production standards;
  • file-structure, naming and delivery-format discipline;
  • responsiveness to clarification requests;
  • disciplined Jira usage;
  • communication quality in English;
  • ability to improve after feedback;
  • cooperation with the broader production team.

For a candidate assigned as working team leader, performance may also include:

  • quality of team coordination;
  • clarity of task follow-up;
  • ability to identify risks and open points early;
  • support for workflow discipline within the Vietnam production team.

10. Role Boundaries

The role does not include:

  • licensed architectural design;
  • engineering design;
  • statutory design approval;
  • construction documentation;
  • independent design responsibility without approval;
  • direct client representation;
  • sales or commercial negotiation;
  • unauthorized use, transfer or storage of company, client or project data.

11. Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior interior visualization professional with strong Blender and Unreal Engine capability, solid architectural understanding, disciplined production behaviour, and proficient spoken and written English. The candidate should be able to work reliably in a structured, Jira-based, international production environment.

If assigned as working team leader, the candidate should also be able to coordinate a small team while continuing to perform senior-level production work.
