Role Description

This position is responsible for leading and implement production improvement initiatives, focusing on process optimization, productivity improvement, waste reduction, and work-method standardization. This role serves as a technical focal point for IE/CI activities, independently analyzing problems, assessing risks, and coordinating with relevant functions to ensure improvements are implemented effectively and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the observation and analysis of production processes, perform time studies, and analyse data such as OEE, productivity, downtime, and defects to identify issues, prioritise opportunities, and propose improvement solutions.
• Lead or coordinate Lean, 5S, FIFO, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement activities; assess feasibility, risks, and cross-functional impacts before implementation, and follow up on results to verify effectiveness.
• Ensure process changes and improvements comply with safety and quality requirements while considering downstream impacts on related processes and functions.
• Develop, standardize, and improve IE documents, methods, and standards such as SOPs, work instructions, time data, productivity data, and improvement-cost information; also provide technical guidance and support the development of other IE engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management or relevant background.
• At least 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or a manufacturing environment; hands-on experience leading improvement projects is preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and able to read technical drawings are an advantage.
• Practical knowledge and experience in Lean, 5S, Kaizen, time study, productivity, layout, and process improvement tools.
• Strong systematic thinking with the ability to perform root-cause analysis, assess risks, and solve problems independently.
• Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functionally and provide technical guidance and coaching to less-experienced engineers.
• Good command of English with the ability to communicate at work and understand technical documents.
