Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Role Overview:

We're seeking skilled and passionate full-stack developers to join our client's distributed team. This is a remote contract position based in Vietnam, working with an Australian development team. 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This role is specifically with our client (Australian FinTech) and NOT with Automation Consulting. The scope of work is focused on payment platform development and does NOT include any GenAI development work.

Tech Stack

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, Material UI
• Backend: Node.js, GraphQL, Express
• Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, Docker
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable microservices
• Build and maintain responsive web applications
• Bug fixes and production support
• Platform maintenance and feature enhancements
• Own features and epics end-to-end — from discovery through delivery — working directly with Product Managers to break down requirements into executable tasks
• Act as delivery lead on larger features requiring multiple engineers, collaborating with the Tech Lead on solution design review
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
• Conduct code reviews and promote best practices
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to understand business requirements, translate them into clear implementation plans, and drive execution end-to-end.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of full-stack web application experience or 5+ years in one or more of the key technologies
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and React
• Experience with AWS cloud services and Terraform
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
• High ownership mindset with a proven track record of leading or owning features/projects end-to-end, including breaking down business problems into executable tasks and delegating work to other engineers
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Proven ability to work effectively in distributed teams
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
